The Wickliffe City School District (WCSD) would like to thank you for your interest in our school district. To make the hiring process efficient and effective for both the WCSD & the applicant, all applications are submitted and accepted through Applitrack, an online application process. Substitute Positions

The Wickliffe City School District welcomes community members and interested individuals to apply for substitute positions in all areas. 

Licensed substitutes (teachers) are recruited and employed through a shared service agreement coordinated by the Educational Service Center of Northeast Ohio. Ohio Substitute Teacher Services (OSTS) will employ day-to-day licensed substitutes working in the Wickliffe City Schools. OSTS provides this service for over 50 school districts across Northeast Ohio. Please contact OSTS for more information or to apply for a position:  OSTS Information

Support Staff substitutes (secretaries, educational aides, student monitors, and cleaners) are employed through the Wickliffe City School District. Please complete the online application or contact Cathy Baltus ([email protected] or 440.943.7773) for more information. 

Long-Term Substitute positions are available for:

Background Checks

A Bureau of Criminal Investigation and FBI background check are required for all district employees. The check is conducted at the business office of the Board of Education, Monday through Friday by appointment. To schedule an appointment, please call 440.943.6900.
