Free/Reduced Meal Update

As of June 30, 2022, federal meal waivers from the USDA for the National School Lunch and Breakfast Programs that have been in place during the COVID-19 pandemic have expired.

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?

  1. Beginning with the 2022-2023 school year, students will no longer receive breakfast and lunch at no cost unless they qualify for free or reduced-price meals.
  2. Your student must be eligible for free or reduced price meals, either through direct certification or a completed free or reduced meal application. The 2022-2023 application is now available on your Infinite Campus Parent Portal, which is the most efficient way to apply. If you need a paper copy, they are available in the school main offices or by contacting Cathy Baltus at 440.943.7773 or [email protected].
  3. Your student will be eligible to have their School Fees Waived if they are eligible for free meals. On the electronic application, be sure to agree to share your information for a Fee Waiver. On the hard copy, be sure to check Yes in Section 5.
