School Profile
The Wickliffe City School District serves students on one central PK-12 campus. The Campus of Wickliffe is a unique model that offers state of the art facilities for all students. Programming in the district is guided by the WCSD Strategic Plan. The district's mission is to Inspire Students to Learn, Lead, and Serve.
- The Preschool provides services that prepare our youngest learners to experience the joy of learning through interactive lessons that model active exploration, socialization, skill development, and opportunities to begin to foster their own sense of the world in which they live.
- The Lower School (Grades K-6) is an exciting flexible learning environment. Teachers work in teams to assist students in becoming confident learners, good citizens, and curious students. The Lower School facilities include traditional classrooms, small group rooms, and flexible large groups learning spaces that encourage teamwork, co-teaching, and collaborative learning.
- The Upper School (Grades 7-12) is built around a college campus model. Students in the seventh grade are immersed in a seventh grade learning academy where they learn to assimilate with their peers and focus their academic learning. Students in grades 8-12 are scheduled into flexible groups based on their interests, achievement levels, and demonstrated goals. The Upper School facilities include traditional classrooms, small group rooms, and flexible large collaborative spaces where students can work in teams, individually, or with an entire class. The Upper School is part of a Career Tech Education Compact with the Mentor and Euclid Schools. Students have the opportunity to select from over 20 career programs, pursue a college prep curriculum, participate in service learning programming, engage in fine arts, music, technology, and a number of elective course offerings.
- The Campus of Wickliffe offers advanced technology, a fine arts center, state of the art athletic facilities, and large shared spaces. Additionally, the Campus serves the community through its Family Resource Center (FRC). The FRC is a partnership with Signature Health and offers primary, dental, and behavioral health care to students, and a wide variety of resources to the community including clothing/food pantry (students led), educational programs, and community services. The FRC has served over 10,000 people since opening its doors in 2019.
