Facilities Master Planning
At the May 30, 2019 Board of Education meeting, Mr. Steve Bittence and Mrs. Heather Miller from the Wickliffe Schools Facilities Committee presented the committee’s findings to the Board. The committee made a recommendation to the Board to construct a new PK-12 building on the current high school campus. The Board of Education accepted the recommendation of the committee. Mr. Spiccia and Ms. Haffey will be working with financial consultants and legal counsel on putting a ballot issue together to make the request to the community to approve the new building. In order to place the issue on the November ballot, the Board will have to pass resolutions at the June and July Board of Education meetings.
The Facilities Committee consisted of educators, community members, and staff from Then Design Architecture. The committee met 12 times beginning in October 2018. The Board is grateful to and appreciative of the efforts of the members of the committee.
