Bienvenue!

Welcome to my section of the Wickliffe Middle School website! There are several different choices listed to the far left of this page; please use these to help you and your child(ren) to be aware of everything that's going in my classes. I will have additional resources added on a continuing basis, so please check back often to see what's happening in French and Technology here at WMS. Homework will be posted here, at the Français 6, Français 7, or Français 8 page. Technology students should practice keyboarding approximately twenty (20) minutes daily; links to practice activities are in the "Technology Links" section to the left.
Grades and progress for students' work can be checked at the ProgressBook site. Please make sure to contact me with any concerns you have; together, we can make this a successful and enjoyable experience for all of us, especially for the students -- our future.
The best way to contact me is to email me at Gina.Pumphrey@wickliffeschools.org, as I check my email frequently throughout the day. If you return to the home page (top left, right above my name), you can click on the yellow "Email staff" icon at the top right, and either type in my last name, or use the Building choice to choose "Middle School" for a listing of all the teachers. That will give you a form to complete that will go directly to my email. Of course, you can also type my email address into a message as you would any other email you would send. Either way, I will do my best to get in touch with you as soon as I am able to take some time to discuss your concerns.
I can also receive voice messages at 440-943-7757, but to be honest, I don't check that as frequently as I do my email. I guess that's because I'm so involved with the technology; I use a computer much more than I use a telephone! I am happy to contact you via your preferred method, so please be sure to give me complete information to get back to you. Finally, I prefer to communicate, as much as possible, within the school hours, but will make exceptions when necessary.
In closing, I'd like to share an analogy I learned many years ago -- students, parents and teachers are like three legs of a three-legged stool; if any one of the three are missing, the stool will fall down. If any of the three of us - students, parents and teachers - are not actively involved in the educational process, success will be jeopardized. Thank you for your continued support as we journey through this school year!
